NEWS FOR ALL LEADERS

ADVANCEMENT CHANGES for all Cub Packs, Troops, Varsity and Venturing Crews

As there are many up-dates in Advancements, I am asking you to look over the Advancement Guide Book for 2008.

Many of you may have not seen this book before as it is used by Council and District, if you would like the book you can buy it at any Scout Shop, or you may download a copy here: Advancement Policies And Procedures

This edition of Advancement Committee Policies and Procedures supersedes all previous editions. The material in this book contains current policies, procedures, and other information relating to advancement. Previous editions and printings should be discarded.

Yours in Scouting,

Robert Fitzgerald

Button Gwinnett District Advancement Chairman

ORDER OF THE ARROW: TELLA QUALLA BOUNDARY CHAPTER

The Order of the Arrow (OA) is a national brotherhood of scout honored campers. Founded in 1915, the Order serves to promote Scouting ideals, the camping program, and to recognize those Scouts and Scouters who show leadership in cheerful service to others. Native American traditions, customs, and ceremonies are an integral part of the Order's program of service. Democratic in nature, lodges are youth run by young men under 21 years of age. As members are elected by their fellow scouts, the OA is unique in that the majority of those who decide who may join are non-members. Click here for a detailed history of the Order of the Arrow.
